“Boss…you were right. It’s not about changing the world, it’s about doing our best to leave the world the way it is. It’s about respecting the will of others, and believing in your own. Isn’t that what you fought for? At last, I understand the meaning behind what you did. At last, I understand the truth behind your courage.”

"A Very Potter Senior Year" Announcement

12/11/2012 06:24:00 PM

I'm here with Starkid-fangirl-session because of a play that I've been waiting since one and a half year ago. The threequel of "A Very Potter Musical" will be coming to Youtube on 2013, with title "A Very Potter Senior Year". I watched A Very Potter Musical and the sequel about one and a half year ago, and hoping for the threequel since everyone is talking about it. Then they made it on LeakyCon 2012 in Chicago (but unfortunately I live in Narnia)
But thank god they already uploaded the announcement so it means they're serious about uploading AVPSY. And they decided to give the script and soundtrack for free on December 15th. Then I screamed: WHAT?!

Thank you, Team Starkid for making my day a lot better. Everytime I saw your new video on youtube dashboard my mouth fell down open and screamed. Like this afternoon, my friend was like "what? what happened?" right when I saw your announcement. It's like what you've been hoping for all these years is coming true on 2013. In fact, I miss Darren as Harry very much.

But the sad part is, this is the end. It's the last one of "A Very Potter Musical". This makes me wanted to curl up and cry in the corner of choir room. um, that's too much, but really it brought tears to my eyes.

Here is the announcement, the trailer starts on 2:08

“It’s been a long time coming, but tonight is the end of the war my friend. The final show, we’ve gotta go, meet our destiny. This is the end.”

Is that Voldemort? with hair? and in a slytherin suit?
Tom Riddle?
(But he looks flawless okay, no big deal)

What Would Blair Waldorf Do?

11/17/2012 10:31:00 PM

While gossip girl is on its season finale, I enjoyed re-watching of the first season yesterday. When Dan still with Serena and Nate with Blair, all that high school stuff. And realized everything has changed in the end. Some be better, some be worst.

and what makes them change? grown up.

But let's talk about Blair Waldorf. There are things that haven't changed, because she is Blair Waldorf.
  • Wear thick red lipstick
  • Act like a princess (and finally she had become one in the end)
  • Plot an elaborate scheme of revenge
  • Employ her minions to spy on the enemy
  • "I love you, then I hate you, Chuck Bass"
  • Serena's frenemy
  • Audrey Hepburn biggest fan
But after all she became better in the end. Will she finally become part of the Bass' family? Let's see Gossip Girl series finale, only on The CW.

So this post is basically about my birthday. I know it's a bit late, because exactly one week after my birthday is a mid-semester exam which is pretty distressing. And I must focusing on that exam for my first report on Senior High. Overall, my birthday is normal. Beside a lot of messages through bbm and twitter saying their wishes and greeting (and from the unexpected one). I went to a restaurant on Pasific Place, and had lunch with my family. My mom leaked about my birthday to the one of the waitress (hoping for some discount I guess). Then I ordered some meal, and then after I finished lunch, suddenly all of the waitress around there sang to me (a south african fishing song i think) with cooking utensils as their instrument and gave me an ice cream with a candle on top. It was unexpected. and my face is like ":-o" and ":-|" at the same time. Well, that was epic but also pretty embarassing haha. But it's ok. And after that we went home after some clothes shopping.

And what really made my day is 'the unexpected one' noticed me from bbm. Well, it has been a long long time since I chat with him, because I know he's busy and we didn't often meet at school. So it really means a lot to me. and also thank you very much my wholockianmerlin fans, Gladyz who gave me such a marvelous gift. Love you, Rose mwah.

And this is what Gladyz gave me. Okay I instantly fangirling after she gave me this at school.

P.S. Tomorrow is the day for Trip Observasi. My school's event when we stay for five days in a small village, and live in the villagers house. So we must adapt with the situation there. and most of all, cook by our own. Let's hope I can survive, wish me luck!

We all wear different mask for different purpose. All masks eventually have to come off, and with them so do the gloves. Some masks we put on because it's truly who we want to be. Some we wear because we can't bear to face what's really underneath. Or because it's what someone else needs us to be. And some masks we wear because we hope to stay hidden. But that's the problem with wearing masks. They can be ripped off at any moment.

I've been so anxious about a lot of useless things lately. I can't even breathe peacefully like the old days. I always feel there is a heavy burden in my back. Someone said, most people's anxiety is focused with 40% of things that will never happen, 30% of things relating to the past that can't be changed, 12% of things relating to other people's criticism, and only 8% of the time do they worry about real things that'll need to be faced. So if there is only 8% we really worried about real concerns, then why are we wasted so much time worrying about things that actually shouldn't be worried about. When we are so concerned about the things that we can't do anything about, we have a tendency to miss things which are really important and no time and energy left to deal with them.

We spend our lives regretting the wrong choices we've made, And not even realizing life is short. I know maybe we spend our lives worrying about important things. But these important things which compared to a life, in the end will appears very petty.

The fact is, we can't predict tomorrow or the next moment. Sometimes it feels we don't even have rights to dream about tomorrow. So, live our life to the fullest, and don't spill any seconds to do the vain.

Sticks and stones may just break bones, but the wounds from words never heal. Especially when they're words we hoped we'd never hear. And how it changed everything around. You can act like nothing ever happened, but in the deep of your heart, you know there was more than 'something' on it. And you often find, what you least expect is right in front of you. Waiting to change everything forever. Whether you want to or not.

The Butterfly Project

8/26/2012 07:43:00 PM

Have you ever felt like to cut yourself?
When I first heard about this, I was like 'yeah they're just a bunch of idiots who can't handle themselves'. But as I grew up, I finally understand. When I got some hard problems in my life, I felt it. I feel like I want to cut myself so bad. All my friends has forbade me through bbm (teen nowadays), but it doesn't help. I still wanted to cut it. Then one of my friend told me about The Butterfly Project. And it's pretty helpful. What you have to do is just follow these simple rules:

1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.

2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.

3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. No scrubbing it off.

4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you’ve killed it. If you dont cut, it lives.

5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.

6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.

7. Even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts or is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help.

So that's the simple rules. I've made it once and named it Amy. Nice name, isn't it? She's my friend from Scotland who always supports my writing. Also it's one of my favorite character from Doctor Who, Amy Pond.
The Butterfly Project. Keep it alive.

First Time

8/24/2012 08:14:00 PM

The first time I met you, I didn't know it would be like this.
The first time we spoke, how confused I was.
How it took me to the wanderings of the unknown.
The first time I looked at you, I craved for more.
Though the heart skips a beat, and the world froze.

For every time you look me in the eyes, how I wished you never knew.
How I wished you never realized.
For the pain you caused me, the impact you put on me.
You saw me like a small rock by the street,
you felt my presence like the wind that casually blew your hair.
Though how rare you need it. Useless.

The first time I met you, I didn't know that problem would come.
How it destroyed the stacked of cards pyramid,
how it blows away the patience,
how it wasted its beauty of what I've written, and merely left an ink on me.

And though it may be my fault,
and may be it is,
to what is my fault,
is a foolish one to all.

Yet the reaction you brought,
puts the weight on me.
And now nothing is the same.
For even you are the brightest of all,
nothing will be the same.

The Biggest Fangirl

8/18/2012 11:54:00 PM

Trivia: It's actually a StarKid's song from "A Very Potter Sequel" musical named "The Coolest Girl" but an supermegafoxyawesomehot youtuber, Tessa Netting changed the lyrics into a total goddess fangirl anthem.

Live your dream

8/16/2012 11:03:00 PM
“Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.” - Karen Ravn

Many people said to me, in this age I should have known what I wanna be in the future. Like what my dream or passion is. Because when we have it, we can more be directed in our life. I agreed with that. I believe people who have known their dreams has understood their purpose in life. Many people asked me "what is your dream?" "what do you want to be?" I always answered it. But the fact is, I haven't cognized. As all of you have known, sometimes dream can change. And my dream is strangely always changed. When in fact, life is simple.

Maybe from now on, I have to make a decision. And I must have courage to say and believe in it. Because if I'm not saying nor believing it, the dreams will never come.

Is it a sin?

8/09/2012 09:31:00 AM
Sometimes I wish I can read human's mind. So I can truly understand what they're meaning through their vague utterances or something they never said. And to find out if what I did was right, or utterly wrong.

I'm not trying to be an angel nor a cupid. My true purpose is just to make you happy although I didn't know whether I'm right about what is your happiness or not. I've just realized I haven't known you for so long. But I acted like I already know you for a long time ago, and planned something that I thought would make you happy. Despite the fact it requires to sacrifice my own feelings. Yes, I don't care

Can you tell me am I right or wrong if I do it? I haven't done it because I'm dazed. You've told me what she meant to you, why haven't you tell me if I was right? Or maybe you left it like that because you haven't known my actual purpose. I only want you to be happy. Even if it wasn't with me.

You gave the taste of lemonade to my life. My heart thudded harder everytime I see your name popped. Although it's just you who was talking about that girl, my best friend from the first time we talked. So I can conclude, you two are the most significant people in my life right now. I couldn't even want anything more. You deserve to be happy. In spite of I'm not ready to face the consequences.

But some of my true-self saying the opposite. Why I'd do that? Why can't I use this as an opportunity to prevent them ever happen? I'm not selfish.  But why can't I be happy too with the one I cared? Is it a sin?

I may be on the side of angels. But don't think for one second, that I am one of them.

Listen to Loki, y'all.

Never stop. Never stop fighting. Never stop dreaming. And don’t be afraid of wearing your heart on your sleeve - in declaring the films that you love, the films that you want to make, the life that you’ve had, and the lives you can help reflect in cinema. For myself, for a long time… maybe I felt inauthentic or something, I felt like my voice wasn’t worth hearing, and I think everyone’s voice is worth hearing. So if you’ve got something to say, say it from the rooftops.

Loki is awesome btw.

So fast.

7/19/2012 05:48:00 PM
Hi all! Like you've known, Ramadhan month is coming soon. So, I'm sorry if I have a lot of mistakes whether it intentionally or not. and happy fasting!!

As some of you may know due to general business my blog has been absent for a while. Basically now I'm a freshman in Senior High School. or you can just call it High School. There are a lot of things like student orientation, adapt our self, try to fit in and try as hard as we can to learn new materials. It looks very exhausting, yep it does.

Can't believe I've been through three days of student orientation and now I'm looking forward to Ramadhan Month. Thank god I still have chance to meet Ramadhan this year.
Also I can't believe holiday was over. I don't know why, but it feels so fast even though every day I'm just doing lame things, like sitting in front of my laptop, writing fanfiction or watching movies & tv series, and sometimes going out to some mall or store. Relaxed for a whole month is so much fun.

But now is the time to face the reality, again. Now I'm a freshman in Senior High School. High School, they said it's a very beautiful time. Well, now it's time to prove whether they're right, or utterly wrong. This year I must do the best as a student, trying to fit in a very complicated world, and change for good.

I'm Addicted

6/19/2012 12:51:00 PM
This is a rare opinion, but yeah, I'm addicted to... (calm down, it's not a drug)

Yep. It maybe sounds a bit nerdy (or much?), but for me theatre is amazing. Team StarKid has changed my view of theatre. But actually, I do love classic things before. Like Frances Hodgson-Burnett's and Charles Dickens's book and classical music. Then, my dream has increased one, being a theatre kid in University of Michigan. Not because Team StarKid was graduated there, but because it's really a good school for music, theatre, and has a cool sport team named: Wolverines.
#GOBLUE! (it's kind of like a supportive word for Wolverines or University of Michigan).

I'm actually addicted to many things, that made me having an 'unhealthy obsession'. I'm addicted to tv-shows (doctor who, Sherlock, glee, gossip girl, etc), musical theater, movies, and lately Team StarKid (the maker of A Very Potter Musical, A Very Potter Sequel, Starship, and Holy Musical B@man).
And this post is about I'm addicted to theatre stuff, so, I'm not gonna discuss the others.

If you don't like theatre and thought it's a boring thing ever. Well, I thought like that too before. But then I found Team StarKid, and they changed my view. They made an amazing musical of Harry PotterWhat you have to do is: watch it, try to watch it even you nearly falling asleep at the first minute. They're not that suck as you thought. I challenged you to watch A Very Potter Musical, then you'll fall in love with them. After that, try to watch another StarKid's work. And then try to watch another musical, it's worth it.

This is list of my favorite musical all-time (might change someday), with a view of a newbie theatre geek: (not in order)

1. Les Miserables
Best musical, scores, and book in my opinion. No doubt it won so many Tony Awards. This musical based from a novel by Victor Hugo with the same title. I love the book, really, but I haven't finished it. and might not finished because too lazy for reading a 'hard English' book. It's classic but the words are different from Frances Hodgson Burnett or Charles Dickens. However, still love the book!
You're gonna love the 'love triangle' story of Cosette, Marius, and Eponine (they're so pathetic. just sayin')
Favorite song from the musical: On My Own, I Dreamed a Dream, One Day More, A Heart Full of Love, and Castle on a Cloud.

P.S. Can't wait for the movie in December! Starring Anne Hathaway (as Fantine yay!), Hugh Jackman (as Jean Valjean), Samantha Barks (as Eponine), Amanda Seyfried (as Cosette), Helena Bonham Carter (as Madame Thenardier), and many more

2. The Sound of Music
Uhm, it's not a theatre stuff. I know but it's a musical. Every time I watch this, it's bringing me back memories of my childhood. I watched it since I was five, with my mom, or my grandma. It based on the book The Story of the Trapp Family Singers by Maria von Trapp, the film is about a young woman who leaves an Austrian convent to become a governess to the seven children of a naval officer widower. Favorite song from the musical: Edelweiss, Do Re Mi, The Sound of Music and My Favorite Things.

  3. A Very Potter Musical & Sequel.
A musical of Harry Potter, what else that I want? They made supermegafoxyawesomehot jokes nearly every moment. And they also made their own remarkable quotes like "Redvines, what the hell can they do?" or "I can't go to pigfarts, it's on mars".

I learned so many things from this musical, like: Pigfarts is on mars. and have a headmaster named Rumbleroar. He is a lion, who can talk. also, The Umbridge Rules: Rule number one, no boys, unless they're cute. Rule number two, no alcohol, unless they're plenty to go all around. Rule number three, no party, unless Umbridge is invited! There are many more quotes that would be so long if I write it all here.

The best part guys, they can make a villain looks totally hot. Oh, there are a shirtless six-pack Voldemort, and Umbridge's hot arms, they're played by the same actor: Joe Walker. My favorite Starkid and also my celeb crush. Yum.

So, overall, it was an amazing show from college students. Don't believe me? Watch it yourself on Team Starkid Youtube Page. I bet you gonna love it, especially when you're a Potterhead like me. Remember, they made this musical on budget less than $50. So can you imagine how awesome is it a college group made a musical and got a HUGE success?
Favorite Song from the musical: Going Back to Hogwarts, Not Alone, Granger Danger, Days of Summer, and To Have a Home.
"Voldemort is out, bitchez"
4. Wicked
Time for Witches! Love this one. And of course, everyone loves it. Based on the Gregory Maguire's novel: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Wicked tells the story in which these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the North while struggling through opposing personality and their other differences.
Favorite Song from the musical: Defying Gravity, What is this feeling, The Wizard and I, and many more.

So this is the full list (again, not in particular order). And I'll review it later:

5. West Side Story
6. The Phantom of The Opera
7. Sweeney Todd
8. My Fair Lady
9. Hairspray
10. Grease

And leave a comment on your favorite musical all-time list!

Fashion by Art. Part: 1

5/05/2012 09:32:00 PM
Inspiration can come from anywhere. From a book, music, art, or even a lemonade stand in front of our house. but sometimes it quite been hard to find a specific inspiration. Anyway, it's not really what I'm going to talk about. It's about fashion that can also inspired by a paintings. Take a look:
Jil Sander Spring 2012: Picasso sweater.
"Girl Reading" by Pablo Picasso

Rodarte Spring 2012: Starry Starry Night.
"The Starry Night" by Van Gogh

"Water Lilies" by Claude Monet

So, inspiration can come from anywhere. Good luck!

Holy Musical B@man! by Team Starkid

4/21/2012 02:17:00 PM
*WARNING: This post contains spoiler for you who haven't watch it*

is a new Batman musical parody by Team Starkid (The creator of A Very Potter Musical, Me and My Dick, A Very Potter Sequel, and Starship).
Holy Musical B@man
Holy Musical B@man
Finally it's up on Youtube! it's on Friday, April 13th: WATCH HERE (click).
My wishes came true: Joe Walker played Batman and he wore SPANDEX! how amazing is that?
Holy Musical B@man
About the cast, it was really unpredictable (except Joe, I really wish it was him). I wouldn't change anything. Joe Walker as Batman, purrfect. He can portrayed Batman and do the voice really well. and Jeff freakin Blim, a newcomer. He really beyond expected. He played Sweet Tooth, another villain in Gotham (because Joker was found dead at Gotham Bridge). He's such an amazing actors. The Sweet Tooth character was a character who always brought candy puns on his pocket suit, and pulled it out every time he spoke something with that candy name. like: "Quit your snickering *pulls out SNICKERS chocolate*, you airheads *pulls out AIRHEADS chocolate*". And Jeff can remember where exact candy was on his (thousand) pocket and pulls it out on time. like ON TIME. also his laugh and act was quite similar to Jim Carrey. So, someone on Youtube said that Sweet Tooth (or Jeff Blim) is a 'Sexy Jim Carrey', Totally agree. and one word for Nick Lang, genius.
Holy Musical B@man

The songs are kind of different from other starkid productions because it wasn't arranged by Darren Criss. It was arranged by Nick Gage and Scott Lamps, a bit different from other starkid musicals but really suitable dynamic for Batman. My favorite song is "Dark, Sad, Lonely, Knight" because Chris Allen's and Joe's voice is really awesome here. (Buy the soundtrack on iTunes or listen at BandCamp)
There's so many quote that really cool in this show. I wanted to put it all here but better you watched it!
Holy Musical B@man
The costumes are amazing. Joe and Brian wore spandex and tights made all fangirls fainted straight away. and look at all of the character's shoes. They're all wore modified Converse All Star. What a super creative costume designer, June Kou.

Street Style: Alexa Chung

Alexa’s style is so unpredictable. Once she was edgy. Today, she’s conventional. Tomorrow, she might be eccentric. She’s a connoisseur of mix-and-matching polarized pieces and this is what makes her beyond exciting!

Book Review: The Hunger Games

2/28/2012 08:56:00 PM
The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is the first book in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. It was released on 2008. It's a great fiction young adult genre book. My friends were totally crazy about it. Everyone is crazy about it right now. Well, we cannot wait the movie.

This book has enthralling plots that I ever read. Suzanne Collins described the scenarios in The Hunger Games series with extreme detail and some of the images that come into your mind are quite graphic. The intensity of the action was something one would find in a more mature book, but the age of the characters and the simplicity of the prose were aimed at a much younger audience. Overall, this book was enthralling and fantastic.

The story is about North America has been destroyed and now they're divided into 12 district. ruled by a government located at Capitol. The Hunger Games will take one man and woman from all district. Katniss Everdeen being a volunteer as 'tributes' to substitute her little sister to playing at The Hunger Games. She also has a quite romance with Peeta, a boy from district 12.
The movies will come out on March 23th, 2012.
